Neelofa Lands Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List

Neelofa Lands Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List - Actress, TV presenter and entrepreneur Neelofa is one of a few Malaysians who have made it on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list.

Neelofa, 28, has a popular line of headscarves called Naelofar Hijab. She is among those recognised for their achievements in the retail and e-commerce category.

“Alhamdulillah, this made my day. So happy to be in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia! I can’t thank you guys enough for supporting me. Not to forget, my family who’ve always been my number 1 cheerleader,” she posted on Instagram.

She also said: “Congrats to my NH team for being my backbone after many years, you guys are the best!!! Syukur, dreams do come true”

Neelofa came into the spotlight after winning teen beauty contest Dewi Remaja 2010. In addition to hosting entertainment variety programme meleTOP, her most popular TV series is last year’s Suri Hati Mr Pilot.

Naelofar Hijab was launched in 2014 and is available in 38 countries. The company also has a pop-up store in an upmarket district in London.

Meanwhile, Fashion Valet co-founder and dUCk founder Vivy Yusof was listed under the same category too.

“We include Malaysian entrepreneurs like Neelofa, 28, and Vivy Yusof, 29, who have launched successful businesses and are shattering stereotypes about Muslim women,” Forbes wrote.

6. Mohd Yazrie Mohd Shukri (founder of MyFed ASIA which provides over-the-top streaming services)

7. Victor Chua (vice president of venture capital firm, Gobi Partners)

8. Chee Hau Goh and Nadhir Ashafiq Zainal Abidin (co-founders of cargo transportation service, The Lorry)
