Two 'Datuks' To Be Remanded In Penang Tunnel Graft Probe - Two men with "Datuk" titles are expected to be remanded in a graft probe into the controversial Penang undersea tunnel project.
It is understood that one of the suspects will be brought to the magistrate's court in George Town, while another is due to be remanded in Putrajaya.
The two were arrested on Tuesday (Jan 9) in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) swoop on companies involved in the tunnel project.
MACC personnel raided the offices of four state government agencies – the Penang Public Works Department, Penang State Secretary, Penang Office of Lands and Mines and Penang Valuation and Property Services Department – and three property development and construction companies – Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd, 555 Capital Sdn Bhd and Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd’s Penang office.
